Map Properties

The Map Properties vertical tab on the lower left enables customisation of the map view and the map Legend, and markers to be overlaid that may have been gathered during operations.

The map displayed after clicking View during Job Selection contains ‘raw data’. This contains a list of all the information that can be viewed in a map - simply click to view the data required. It is also possible to create either a Grid or Contour view using the Add View button. In both options the user can further fine-tune the image data to suit their exact requirements.

Using the Legend button, in the lower window of the screen, it is possible to edit the Legend Properties. This provides three options that are used to select and alter template parameters; these determine the range of values and the colour of the map legend displayed. A powerful feature, which is adjusted simply and can be applied time and time again.

Any Markers collected during field operations are also easily added to the maps. This is, again, a particularly helpful feature that is also easy to use. By overlaying markers on, for example a yield map, a user may be able to quickly pinpoint reasons why some areas are higher or lower yielding than others. This kind of information is essential to help catch and remedy potential in-field problems.

This shows the benefit of the seamless configuration of GTA software. Markers can be named on the Fieldstar terminal and edited on the map. Alternatively they can be set up on the software and transferred to the terminal, the driver simply selecting the desired marker from the list. A simple, but effective solution to pinpointing problems.
